January is National Mentoring Month. National Mentoring Month celebrates mentoring and the positive effect it can have on young lives. It is important to raise awareness of mentoring in all forms. The hope is that it will also help recruit positive people to serve as mentors.
National Mentor Day is January 19th. This day is to celebrate the great mentors that we have in our communities and all over the world. Programs like TNT Mentoring Program could not exist without the amazing volunteers that we have. There are not enough words or ways to say Thank You to our mentors for the simple acts and kindness that they show our children in Ottawa County.
